How to write a birthday message that sounds like you
Most good birthday messages have three parts:
- Their name, or the nickname only you use.
- One real memory or detail, like a trip, a joke or something they did this year.
- One wish for the year ahead.
For example: "Happy birthday, Mei. I still think about the night we got lost in Melaka and found the best laksa of the trip. Here's to more wrong turns this year."
