Photo Book Templates Worth Starting From

A blank layout is the hardest part of any photo project — staring at an empty page and guessing how many photos per spread actually looks good. This collection rounds up the templates that get picked most often across hardcover photo books, flush-mount albums, metal prints, and canvas prints, as a starting point rather than a finished product.

The photo book templates split roughly into two binding styles: flush-mount, where pages open completely flat so a layout can stretch across the full spread without a gap in the middle, and hardcover, which uses a standard lay-open binding and tends to work better for text-heavy or grid-style layouts. Which one fits depends more on the layout you're picturing than the occasion — a single panoramic photo per page wants flush-mount, a busy collage grid works fine either way. Metal prints and canvas prints are single-image formats rather than multi-page layouts, so the "template" question there is really about aspect ratio and how much of the frame the photo should fill.

None of these need to be used exactly as shown — swapping photo count, colors, or captions is expected. They're a reasonable place to stop deciding on structure and start deciding on photos.
