Split canvas takes a single photo and divides it across two, three, or four separate panels, hung with small gaps between them so the image reads as one continuous piece from a normal viewing distance. It's a different effect than a single canvas print — more suited to a wide panoramic shot, a landscape, or any photo with enough width to hold up when it's broken into sections.

The panel count changes how forgiving the photo needs to be: a 2-panel split works with most horizontal shots, while a 3- or 4-panel split needs a wider or higher-resolution source image so detail doesn't get lost as each panel is cropped and stretched individually. Photos with a clear focal point off to one side, or ones with continuous sky, water, or landscape running across the frame, tend to translate best — a photo with a face or object sitting right where a panel gap would fall usually looks worse than expected once it's printed.

Like the rest of the canvas range, each panel is UV printed and mounted on high-density foam board rather than a wood frame, which keeps every panel water- and scratch-resistant and light enough to handle easily. Each panel includes a magnetic mounting system, with slots for traditional mounting also built in. Because layout and panel spacing affect the final look more than most formats, it's worth previewing the proof carefully before approving production, especially on the wider multi-panel options.
